Welcome to the Wellfield Junior School Website

At Wellfield Junior School we are extremely proud of our school and have worked hard to create a learning environment in which all our children can thrive. We recognise that partnership between School and home, between teachers and parents is essential if your children are to be given the best opportunities to which they are entitled. Our website aims to provide an overview of what we do, how we do it and the education our children experience. We hope you find it useful and informative.

A DuttonMr Dutton’s Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

Although schools are closed for all except a very small number of pupils of key workers and vulnerable children, please be assured that we are doing all that we can to help you get through this very challenging time. Since this is officially our school's Easter holiday period, teachers will not be setting work again until the week beginning Tuesday 14th April, so the children can have a break from learning. In any case, these suggestions and links to learning are just a guideline, and we are very aware that it may be very difficult to implement, for parents who may be caring for several young children, whilst home-working themselves. Please do not worry about this!

The government has issued some guidance about how to support your child's mental health and wellbeing during the pandemic. Please see the document below:

There is also a children’s guide to coronavirus which aims to answer children’s questions about coronavirus, tell children how to stay safe and protect other people and how to help them make the best of their time at home.  This is available at the following link:

Please contact school via email if you need more information or if you have a safeguarding concern about a child.

Regards

Antony Dutton
